Terms & Conditions
The terms for using PlainOps during our private beta, provided by P&B Perspective Ltd, trading as PlainOps.
1. The service
PlainOps provides a read-only subscription-waste check for companies using Xero. You connect Xero through its official OAuth flow, and PlainOps produces a ranked report of likely recurring vendors and candidate savings based on your accounting evidence. PlainOps recommends; it does not act on your behalf.
2. Eligibility
PlainOps is for business use. By connecting an organisation’s Xero, you confirm you are authorised to do so and to share that accounting data with us for the purpose of the check.
3. Beta nature
The service is provided during a private beta on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Features may change, pause, or be withdrawn, and results may be incomplete while we develop the product.
4. Not professional advice
PlainOps gives you evidence and candidate actions only. It is not financial, legal, accounting, or tax advice. You should apply your own judgement and, where appropriate, take professional advice before acting.
5. Your decisions and responsibilities
You remain responsible for your subscriptions and accounting. Any decision to cancel, keep, downgrade, consolidate, or change a service — and any cancellation or payment action — is made and carried out by you. PlainOps does not cancel, change, or pay anything.
6. Access and revocation
PlainOps requests read-only Xero access with no write scopes. You can revoke access in Xero, disconnect the app, and request deletion of your data at any time.
7. Acceptable use
Use PlainOps lawfully and only with data you are entitled to share. Do not send passwords, API keys, card details, or other secrets — we do not need them and never ask for them. Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or misuse the service.
8. Estimates, not promises
Reported figures are estimates and candidates, not verified savings. PlainOps does not promise or guarantee any particular saving, and does not claim to find every wasteful subscription. Sample figures shown on the site are synthetic and illustrative only.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, and given the free private-beta nature of the service, PlainOps is provided without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on a report. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Changes
We may update the service or these terms during the beta. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
